North Dakota high school boys swimming and diving had its first-ever sanctioned season start on November 3rd, 1974. The Bismarck Century High School Patriots joined the sport the following year for the winter season of 1975/1976 as apart of the Western Dakota Association (WDA) region. Since joining, the Patriots have earned 5 state titles and have had numerous individual and relay state champions. Currently, the Patriots hold one state record in the 100 breaststroke.
